DAYS FIVE AND SIX: YOUTHWORKER'S CONNECTION
Brothers don't shake hands....brothers gotta HUG! Erik with the papa bear.
Our speaker Harvey Carey challenged us to live the Kingdom outside our church walls.
Nicole Nordeman sings some amazing songs.
Scott got to connect with Jeremy and April - it was awesome!
We also saw Jason and Jill Ulven, who are doing great.
Conner enjoying a stroll downtown Chicago and one last meal before his flight home - we'll miss you Conner!
(And that weird thing on the right is called the "bean" at Millenium Park) ((the weird thing on the left is called...))
DAY FOUR: CHICAGO DAY!
So we decided to take our little Conner downtown since he had never been to Chicago before.
So here is the Hancock tower in the distance, and Michigan Ave.
But then Conner told us that he had been to downtown Chicago twice. So even though we were all tired, we had to
go downtown anyway because stinkin' Conner won't speak up!
Here is an amazing church on Michigan Ave - some great photo ops.
Here is the church again, the Trump Building, and the famous Chicago sign. It was a great day for photography!
Conner had a good night over at North Park. But they spelled his name ConnOR - serves you right foo!
DAY THREE: FUN AT NORTH PARK
Conner with his backpack on for his first day of College! Anderson Chapel
(my little boy is all grown up!!)
North Park University in the winter snow.
Old Main at NPU Nyvall Hall - the Covenant seminary -
where Scott went to get so brillant! (wha u say?)
A Chicago night and snow - burrrr!
DAY TWO: FLIGHT TO CHICAGO AND DINNER AT THE ANDERSONS
Conner can't ever make a normal face for a camera shot - dang it Conner!
Conner and Erik bonded - first feeding each other food (and sweet nothings), and then bonding at the baggage claim.
Conner finally smiled like a good boy. And speaking of good boy - here is Erik as a little boy. So cute!
Here is Erik's home church in Naperville - his dad is a pastor! Erik is a pastor's kid (no wonder he is so...um...great!)
On the left is Erik's house (yeah right!). On the right is Erik's family (no seriously).
Conner is loving the 10 degree weather, but it makes him tired.
DAY ONE: DAYS INN HOTEL IN OAKLAND
Erik has an angel over his shoulder (Conner doesn't - why is that Conner?) Conner's look for every picture he's ever been in.
